● The cottage is available for occupation
as from 4pm on the day of arrival.
● We ask that
you please vacate the property by no later than 10am on the day of
departure.
● These timings are to permit sufficient time to clean and service the cottage between
lets.
● For the benefit of other visitors to
Ewe Cottage,
we ask that you please refrain from smoking inside the property.
● We reserve the right to levy an
additional charge for extra cleaning and/or
re-decoration if this request is ignored.
●
In order to make a confirmed booking,
we need to have a completed Booking Form together with a cheque payment for a deposit of
20% of the cost of your holiday.
● The balance of the payment for your
holiday is then payable 6 weeks before the start of your holiday.
● If the
start of your holiday is less than 6 weeks away at the time of booking,
we need payment in full with your Booking Form.

● There is a
small general stores in
Poolewe approximately 3 miles from the cottage.
● There are
several food shops at Gairloch (9 miles).
● The nearest main supermarkets are at
Dingwall (67 miles) and Ullapool (53 miles).
● You should be aware that some of the
smaller local shops may be closed on Sundays.
● The
nearest bank is a branch of the Bank of Scotland (HBOS) at Gairloch (9 miles).
● The bank has an Autoteller (i.e. Cashpoint)
machine.
● The nearest filling station is at
Gairloch (9 miles).
● Filling stations in the more remote
parts of the Highlands are often many miles apart and
some do not stay open late or open at all on Sundays.
You are therefore advised to keep your fuel tank well
topped up at every opportunity!
● The nearest pub/restaurants
are at
Poolewe (3 miles).
● Other pubs and restaurants can be
found at Gairloch, Aultbea, Kinlochewe, Shieldaig,
Applecross, Kishorn, Lochcarron and Achnasheen.

Ewe Cottage has 2 bedrooms and will sleep
4 people.
●
There is one double bedroom and one twin
bedroom.
●
There are 2 shower rooms (but no
bath). Each shower room has a toilet, wash hand
basin and heated towel rail.
●
Downstairs, there is a comfortable
lounge which has an open fireplace. Entertainment is
provided by a colour TV, DVD player and stereo
system.
●
There is a well equipped kitchen/dining
room with
good cupboard space
and worktop area. The dining area has a
table and seating for 4 people.
● Adjacent to the
cottage there is a
traditional Highland byre which has been tastefully
converted to a fully equipped utility room.
●
Outside, there is a very attractive
spacious garden with excellent views over Loch Ewe.
● There is
off-road parking for up to 2 cars in the drive alongside the cottage.
● Heating is provided by
electric storage radiators.
● There is also a fireplace in the
lounge which may be used for an open fire.
● The cost of electricity is included in the price
for the house.
● Water is heated by
electric immersion heater.
● Bed linen is provided and included
in the tariff for the house.
● Towels, tea towels and bath
mats are also provided and
are included in the prices.
● The kitchen is equipped with
a double oven electric cooker, microwave, fridge and
dishwasher.
● There is
also a fridge/freezer in the separate utility room.
● Other main appliances comprise
toaster, kettle and other usual small kitchen
appliances.
● There is a
separate utility room situated in the converted byre adjacent to the cottage.
● The
utility room is equipped with
a washing machine, tumble dryer and a sink.
● As advised
above, there is also a fridge/freezer in the utility
room.
● There
are 2
bathrooms, both of which are on the ground floor.
●
Both bathrooms are equipped with showers - but
no bath.
● There is a WC
and wash hand basin in each bathroom.
● There is an electric shaver point
in one of the bathrooms.
● There is a TV
and a DVD player in the lounge.
● In the
lounge there is
also a stereo system.
● N.B. FM radio signals in
the area are weak, often non-existent,
due to the mountainous terrain.
● There is no phone in the cottage.
●
Some mobile phone coverage can be obtained depending
upon which service provider you use.
● The
nearest telephone kiosk is at
Poolewe (3 miles).
